Fred and his favorite squirrel-girl
hanging out in a bird house. |
|
This is "Otis"... our resident tree frog. (8/07) |
|
Moth... June 2006. |
|
Bob meets her
first box turtle! The turtle was not
impressed. |
Apparently,
this is a salamander. |
Huge, bizarre
caterpillars! |
A luna
moth! The picket is 4" wide. |
Look
closely. We think it's an allilizard! |
Shirley-Squirrely! This is a flying squirrel that
lives in Gayle & Marilyn's yard. |
Our Pets.
And pets of our friends that demanded equal time. |
Bob (1989-2007) Our
beagle.
Bob was saved and rescued by Terry. She
was an awesome dog... thought she was a person, and acted like
it. She was a great friend to both of us... and had an
incredible personality.
We miss her constantly. The
house is so quiet without her. We will never forget you,
girl! |

Barbeque (1989- 2005) This cat rocked! He even had working
thumbs! And he was huge... about 24 pounds. He
was the runt of the litter, one of only two to survive the
first 24 hours. Rescued by Mike, Barbeque was hand fed
iron supplements from an eye dropper for the first couple of
months. It worked! Barbeque's favorite past time
was to sprawl upside down in front of the fireplace and
literally bake... we had to roll him from time to time.
Barbeque passed in November 2005 after 17 very comfortable
years. There will never be another! |
Hooter (1982- 2005) Our third
rescued pet, Hooter had to be the most lovable and loyal cat
we've ever seen. The only thing Hooter ever
wanted was to be loved. She was the sweetest, quietest,
most loyal cat. Sadly, Hooter passed away peacefully in
August 2005... at an age of 24. We were fortunate
to have her among our family for 15 years and she lived her
life in comfort. We miss her every day. |

Captain
Morgan Our friends Gayle & Marilyn
adopted a puppy and quickly named him Captain Morgan.
Bob, on the other hand, adopted the puppy from them and from
the first day these two have been inseparable. They
still spend plenty of time together... visiting at either
"Camp Bob" or "Camp Captain".
|
Molly Molly
joined the Brigman clan in 2004. Captain now has a
constant playmate... and Bob is seeing
double! |
|
|
Brandy, Molly
and Scooter Brandy's 17 years old, rescued
from the Clearwater, FL SPCA, Molly was rescued from the
Brandon, FL SPCA and is 7 years old, and Scooter, rescued
from Oldsmar, FL and is 13. Brandy and Molly live with
Brian and LouAnn in Florida, Scooter lives with Brian's
parents... but they hang together. And... thanks to Bob,
they now love carrots! |
Tiffany Bill & Cindy's Tiffany is so cute, so tiny (it scares me!) and
thinks she's so tough! |
|
Bridget
Well, if you're gonna have a
"Tiffany"... you may as well have a Bridget, too!
|
|
|
Casey Mike and John just got
this cute pup in June. Named after the Panthers field
goal kicker, Casey... is so sweet, so energetic and just wants
to get into everything. And the worms are gone!
Woohoo!! Only took 6 months to get the picture... but
they've been busy, probably shopping for Christmas gifts for
us! I see a theme here! |
BB Daniel's new
kitty... rescued form the SPCA in Richmond on Dcember 22,
2005! Haven't heard much since... how's BB doing
Daniel??!!! No blog, no pics... give a clue! |

Dixie
One of Bob's bud-ettes, Dixie is a thick, fast, solid
ball of energy. Dixie can spend her entire day sitting
at the base of a tree staring at a single squirrel... so
transfixed that she doesn't notice the three squirrels sitting
next to her trying to figure out what the dog is staring
at.
Dixie gets to visit occasionally
and hang out with Bob. After wearing herself out, she
loves to curl up on Bob's chair, snuggled up to
Bob. |
