-- We're on our way, after a little scare.  Late last night, we received a call from a good friend to advise us that Delta was cancelling a slew of morning flights.  Thanks to Robin's call, we were able to get rebooked without a problem... while many others are stuck waiting an entire day.  We went through Cincinnati instead of Atlanta, but so far so good!  Terry ordered a Crown and Ginger to start his vacation... but said it softly and has now had two CRAN and Ginger Ale's.  He kept saying it was weak... so I asked.  They thought it was some weird mix.  Ugh.  So, got him back on track now!

We made it!  We're beat!  We unload our luggage at the Parker Guest House and walk three blocks to the Castro district!  Terry's stunned... just staring at the sites... it's pretty cool!

Friday, March 28 - Today we got up early and headed to San Francisco's transit system... the MUNI.  This city has a great transit system... you just have to figure it out.  We work our way onto the MUNI and head fro Ocean Beach.  Neither of us has ever seen or touched the Pacific Ocean... today that get's fixed.  The sites are beautiful!  Working our way back, we stop at the Japanese Tea Gardens and the San Francisco Botanical Gardens.  Really cool places!  Friday night is club night... a variety of bars, shopping and nightclubs in the Castro District.  Everything is packed... and everyone is so nice!  Terry got hungry... and asked one of the club managers if he could recommend a place to get "noodles"... the guy (we had talked to him prior) seemed a little stunned, but shook his head and proceeded to tell Terry which store to go to to get his "needles".  Once we realized what he was talking about, we got that straightened our VERY FAST... but apparently you can find anything you want here.  We stuck with a pizza after that!!

Saturday, March 29 -- Look out Fisherman's Wharf!  We headed out on the Muni from the Castro district through the downtown financial center and around the Embarcadero to the piers.  We visited Pier 39, Pier 37, Ghirardelli Square, watched a couple of senior citizens run down and dive into the bay... and had a great day!

Sunday, March 30 --  Moving day!  We packed up early and headed to the downtown Marriott for Mike's conference.  The financial district is really cool, tons of sites and stores!

Monday, March 31 -- Monday night we did the Alcatraz Night Tour.  Boarding a ferry at Pier 33 (after a great view of the bay from Butterfly, a neat bayside bar and restaurant), we headed to the island and took the tour.  It was really cool... and when we left we understood why it's consistently rated one of the top tours anywhere.

Tuesday, April 1 --  China Town!  OK, it was interesting.  We went.  We saw.  We left.  :)
